Starbreed Guides Hub
Systems, unlocks, and practical tips for the released 1.0 campaign
What this hub covers
Starbreed is the released 18+ 3D rail shooter × dating sim from RegulusNSFW, published by Mango Party. It launched July 30, 2026 on Steam (app 2694020) and itch.io as a single-player title. This hub is your map to every systems guide on the wiki: how to fly, how Affinity gates scenes, how Aether’s Resolve and Assertion reshape survivability and form options, where Data Chips hide, how Credits fund the shop, and what Impregnation Trials unlock once a bond hits 100.
Use the leaf guides below when you need depth. Use this page when you want the shortest path from “I just bought the game” to “I understand the loop.”
Recommended reading order
Start with Getting Started in Starbreed if you have not finished a full stage yet. Pair it with Starbreed Controls so mouse aim, boost, brake, and barrel rolls feel automatic before bosses punish hesitation.
Once you can clear early stages cleanly, open Starbreed Affinity Guide. Affinity is the dating-sim spine: conversations and party slots move characters across the 0 / 25 / 50 / 75 / 100 thresholds that unlock adult scenes and later Impregnation Trials. Keep Resolve and Assertion Explained nearby—those Aether stats live under the Aether tab and quietly decide boost recharge, max HP, masculine versus feminine appeal, and when Female Aether becomes available around 50 Resolve.
When you start replaying stages for completion, add Data Chips Guide and Credits Shop Guide. Chips are per-level collectibles tied to Pom rewards; Credits fund weapons, upgrades, and pinups. After any ally reaches 100 Affinity, read Impregnation Trials Guide for the EX passive unlock path—spoiler-safe, unlock-focused, no graphic scene text.
For mastery and PC completion layers, open Medals and Scoring for Bronze/Silver/Gold thresholds, Steam Achievements for all 22 icons with spoiler-light hints, Demo vs Full Game if you upgraded from Next Fest, and Troubleshooting for saves, regional storefront issues, and Aether tab confusion.
How systems connect
Combat and romance are not separate games. You fly stages with a party of allies who each bring an active ability (Q / E style party skills) and a passive. Bringing someone raises Affinity opportunities; Affinity unlocks conversations and adult scenes; 100 Affinity opens Trials that upgrade passives. Meanwhile Credits from clears buy loadout power, and Data Chips reward thorough exploration. Resolve and Assertion let you tune Aether’s tankiness versus boost-heavy aggression and unlock Female Aether when Resolve is high enough.
Cross-check builds with the Starbreed Tier List Hub, character bios on the Starbreed Characters Hub, and stage routes in the Starbreed Walkthrough Hub. Planning aids live under Starbreed Tools Hub.
Spoiler and content policy
Guides on this site stay spoiler-safe: unlock conditions, thresholds, and system rules are fair game. Explicit adult descriptions are not. We say “adult scenes” or “affinity scenes” and stop there. The game is 18+; treat store pages and age gates seriously.
Platforms and languages
Buy on Steam or itch.io (~$10.99). English voice acting ships with UI support that includes English, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Controllers are supported alongside keyboard and mouse.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common Starbreed questions.
Where should new Starbreed players start?
Read Getting Started, then Controls, then Affinity. That trio covers the combat loop and the romance progression gate.
Is Starbreed multiplayer?
No. Starbreed is single-player only on Steam or itch.io.
Do guides spoil endings?
Systems guides avoid ending spoilers. Walkthrough and endings pages flag major story beats separately.
What is the difference between Affinity and Resolve?
Affinity is per-ally bonding. Resolve (and Assertion) are Aether personal stats under the Aether tab that change HP, boost regen, and appeal.
Are Impregnation Trials required to finish the game?
They are completion and power content after 100 Affinity, not a soft lock on early stages. Clear stages first, then chase Trials.
