Starbreed Characters Hub
Protagonist options, allies, and ability roles
Meet the Starbreed cast
Starbreed’s fantasy is simple to say and dense to master: you are Aether, flying a ship through voiced stages while recruiting allies who fight beside you and romance you between missions. This characters hub links every roster page on the wiki so you can learn who unlocks when, what each ally contributes in combat, and how Affinity scenes stay gated behind clear thresholds.
The released 1.0 build (July 30, 2026) ships as a single-player 18+ title from RegulusNSFW and Mango Party. Allies mentioned across store pages, voice credits, and progress reports include Lana, Nika, Tanya, Nova, Pix, Siren / Freya, Rooster, Pom, and Tiger, with Aether available in male and female forms. Boss-facing personalities such as Nova also appear as fight set pieces in stages like Catiya.

How characters power the loop
Each unlocked ally brings a passive and an active ability. Passives reshape your baseline—damage, defense, utility—while actives are timed party skills. Affinity rises when you bring someone along and complete conversations split across 0 / 25 / 50 / 75 thresholds (with 100 opening Impregnation Trials and EX passives). That means “favorite character” and “best clear party” are related but not identical: you may field someone for bond progress even when the Party Comps Tier List prefers another shell for a brutal boss.
Pom sits at a special intersection: Data Chips found in each level feed Pom-related rewards and extra content, so explorers should keep Data Chips Guide open while chasing roster completion.
Spoiler-safe character talk
We describe unlock conditions, ability roles, and Affinity gates. We do not describe adult scenes in graphic detail. Voice cast credits on itch.io confirm a large English VA team for allies and bosses; use that as flavor, not as a spoiler map.
Building around Aether
Aether is not a blank slate. Assertion raises boost / thrust recharge and leans masculine appeal; Resolve raises max HP / Will and leans feminine appeal, with Female Aether unlocking around 50 Resolve. Read the dedicated Aether page before you dump every upgrade into weapons alone—survivability and form options come from those stats.
